Learning About Japanese Culture with Foreign Teachers: Hana-san

September 7, 2025 — International Day at PAUD USNIA was a lively and joyful event on sunday, september 7, 2025. Held in the PAUD USNIA courtyard, the event was attended by dozens of young children with great enthusiasm and vigor.

This year, the International Day event felt special because PAUD USNIA presented a guest teacher from Japan, namely Ms. Hana Takahashi , who came to introduce the culture and unique customs of the Land of the Cherry Blossoms to the children.

The children were enthusiastic from the morning. They wore international-themed clothing and decorated the yard with flags from various countries. When Miss Hana introduced herself with the greeting "Konnichiwa!", all the children cheerfully responded in unison, "Konnichiwa, Sensei!"

During the event, Miss Hana invited the children to learn how to make origami, learn about traditional Japanese clothing (kimono), and learn simple Japanese greetings. The children also had the opportunity to see various Japanese images and objects brought by Miss Hana herself. "It was so much fun! The kids learned that Japan has cherry blossoms and that people like to wear kimonos," said Miss Yeti, one of PAUD USNIA teachers who oversaw the day's activities.

In addition to learning about Japanese culture, the children also participated in drawing and singing activities together. The event concluded with the song "Konnichiwa Sayonara", a traditional Japanese farewell song that conveys the meaning of a friendly greeting and farewell. The children sang it enthusiastically, accompanied by applause from the teachers and parents in attendance. An atmosphere of emotion and joy enveloped all participants. Parents smiled as they saw their children bravely perform, interact, and try new things. This moment was a valuable experience for the children to learn to appreciate other cultures from an early age.

The International Day event at PAUD USNIA is a real proof that early childhood education is not only about learning in the classroom, but also about getting to know the world directly in a fun way. With activities like this, PAUD USNIA hopes to continue to provide meaningful, fun learning and open global insights for children from an early age.
